A Prayer and a Blessing...

For 900 years pilgrimsf have gathered in this spot to receive a blessing before beginning their journey to Santiago de Compostela. The Mass is a beautiful event where the Prior offers a blessing. On this occasion he spoke of the importance of seeing Christ as the light that illuminates our pathway. That as we emulate Him we will recognize opportunities to help others in their journey, thereby reflecting Christ's light and love. I cherish this moment when all pilgrims come together with a common cause and commitment to walk in the footsteps of the Savior.  After the Mass, the Prior allowed us to sing to the congregation. We sant, "All Creatures of Our God and King." AFterwards the Pior greeted each of our students and expressed his good wishes fo rus on our journey,
